Official website: Art Exchange Gallery / New Art Exchange

Opened in autumn of 2008, New Art Exchange is a purpose-built visual arts venue in Hyson Green, Nottingham. The first exhibition at New Art Exchange was a group show titled Next We Change Earth. Since then, a significant number of important exhibitions have taken place there, the work of resident curators Michael Forbes and David Schischka Thomas. It was David Schischka Thomas who curated a group exhibition The Meaning of Style: Black British Style, and the underlying political and social environment. (16 January - 10 April 2010).

The catalogue for Next We Change Earth included before and after photographs of the site and New Art Exchange building.

There was an earlier exhibition venue on the site of New Art Exchange, operated by East Midlands African Caribbean Arts (EMACA). The gallery it operated was known as the Art Exchange Gallery, located at 39 Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green, Nottingham, NG7 6BE. This was the venue for an important exhibition by Kimathi Donkor, taking place in 2005. The exhibition in question was Caribbean Passion Haiti 1804
