Emma Mills finds out the extent to which he uses textiles to convey meaning.

The magazine article takes the form of an interview between Emma Mills and Yinka Shonibare. There are two substantial reproductions of the artist’s work, plus a portrait of the artist. The cover of the exhibition’s substantial publication appears at the foot of the feature. Towards the end of the interview, Shonibare comments: “Even Harvey Nichols did a sort of Yinka Shonibare window at one point. I like the way that popular culture and art relate to one another like that.”
