No London venue. The exhibition, titled Frank Bowling: Bowling on Through the Century, was organised and curated by Eddie Chambers. As was noted on p. 27 of the catalogue for one of Bowling’s subsequent exhibitions, Frank Bowling | Bending the Grid an ongoing series, Aljira, a Center for Contemporary Art, Newark, New Jersey, USA [September 18 - December 10, 2003], “Despite its high quality and lavishly illustrated catalog, the major British touring exhibition, Frank Bowling: Bowling on Through the Century, is never reviewed, raising the question of whether the British art establishment has returned to its neglect of Bowling’s work.”
