From the Editorial: “Issue number 9 of Third Text is a supplement to the exhibition The Other Story: AfroAsian Artists in Postwar Britain currently on view at London’s Hayward Gallery. The limitations in terms of space and of available information means that both the exhibition and this issue of the journal must been not as definitive statements on the subject but as complementary contributions to what is hoped will be a fruitful and continuing debate on the controversial role AfroAsian artists in relation to art practices in Britain.”
