Donald Locke

Born, 1930 in Stewartville, Guyana. Died, 2010

Guyana-born Donald Locke’s work was included in the landmark exhibition The Other Story: Afro-Asian artists in post-war Britain, Hayward Gallery, London, 1989.

He contributed to the commemoration/celebration of fellow Guyanese artist Aubrey Williams’ life, held at the Commonwealth Institute on 12 June 1990.

He contributed a text, Contemporary Guyanese Painters, to the publication Guyana Dreaming: The Art of Aubrey Williams,  Part Three: Critical Comments on the Work of Aubrey Williams.
