Important solo exhibition by Frank Bowling, reflecting a decade of the artist’s practice, from 1967-77. The exhibition comprised some 16 paintings, from his popular and celebrated map paintings, through to a number of less figuative paintings. The exhibition was accompanied by a very useful catalogue containing a substantial essay on Bowling’s work by Frederick L Seidel, of New York, written in March 1977.
