Tayo Quaye

Born, 1954 in Nigeria

From the publication, In Black and White: Prints from Africa and the Diaspora, by Gill Saunders and Zoe Whitley, V&A Publishing, 2013: “Tayo Quaye is a painter and a printmaker, best known internationally for his imposing large-scale linocuts. He trained at the Yaba School of Technology, Lagos, followed by a two-year apprenticeship with the artist Bruce Onobrakpeya.”
