“Cildo Meireles took part in the historic exhibition of conceptual art, Information, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1970 and in 1992 participated in Documenta 11. Added to the immediate visual appeal of much of Meireles’ work is an acute and at times disconcerting questioning of the nature of artistic work.”
