“An ambitious new installation by Blackwoman artist Maud Sulter, using large scale photoworks, plaques and original music. Hysteria is a character created by Maud Sulter who drew her inspiration from the life of Edmonia Lewis; a 19th Century Blackwoman artist and highly successful sculptor in Rome. The exhibition is listed to contain: Largescale photographs of the players in the tale, and of still-life tableaux; inscribed marbles tablets; Original musical accompaniment.
